I am a Senior Applied Scientist at Microsoft, where I focus on understanding how AI systems contribute to workplace productivity and values. I am a part of IDEAS Research group, led by Scott Counts. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Washington (opens in new tab), where I worked on augmenting human-AI interaction design, measuring users’ overreliance on AI, anticipating AI failure modes before deployment, and accessibility. My work has been supported by the IBM PhD fellowship, and has been published in top-tier HCI and AI venues, including CHI, ACL, FAccT, VIS, TOCHI, IUI, and ECCV.
