Kilho Son

Kilho Son is a Principal Research Scientist at Microsoft working on AI and knowledge technologies, including agentic memory, embedding models and scalable search. Previously, he was a Senior Lead Applied Scientist at Amazon, where he led a team developing real-time AI systems for Amazon Dash Cart. Earlier in his career, he was a Computer Scientist at SRI International and a researcher at the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) in South Korea. His research spans information retrieval, agentic memory, and computer vision, with publications at EMNLP, NAACL, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICRA, and IEEE TPAMI. He received his Ph.D. from Brown University.
