Hi! I’m Irene Rogan Shaffer. I’m a technology leader with a background in computer science, data science, product management, and people leadership. As a former Ph.D. student, I enjoy applying interdisciplinary approaches to solve complex technical problems and build innovative products. Growing up as the child of Deaf adults shaped my passion for communication, accessibility, and technology that connects people.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about endurance sports and believe in approaching both research and life with a growth mindset. I have completed a marathon, three half-marathons, sprint triathlon, numerous 5Ks, and I am currently training for an Olympic triathlon in September 2026. I also co-lead the Park Street School Moms’ Running Club, where I enjoy building community through running.
