After installing Update Rollup 5 for System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager and performing inquiry on either the local DPM server itself or on another attached DPM server (for secondary protection), you notice that the console crashes, and upon starting it again it is unresponsive and hung. You notice that cmdlets are also unresponsive. Please install this update to fix the issue. System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager UR5- To install this update for Data Protection Manager, follow the below steps: 1. Before you install this update, make a backup of the Data Protection Manager database. 2. Download the hotfix on server that is running System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager using the above download link, double click on the patch and follow the regular installation steps.
