Advancing how machines understand and generate human language across speech, text, and translation.
The Academic Research Summit, co-organized by Microsoft Research and the Association for Computing Machinery, is a forum to foster meaningful discussion among the Indian computer science research community and raise the bar on research efforts.…
The Platform for Situated Intelligence project focuses on constructing an open, extensible platform to enable the fast development of multimodal, integrative-AI systems.
Most of us read thousands of documents throughout our lives. Along with observation and communication, reading is one of the primary ways we learn. Almost all of human knowledge has been written down in some…
A demonstration of a deep learning bot (“Marcy”) answering reading comprehension questions about a plot summary of “Game of Thrones” plot summary.
In this video we demonstrate how our technology can be used to read excerpts from books such as Harry Potter and more complex documents such as legal NDAs and medical journals.
With students from all over the world, the Bellevue School District is an incredibly diverse district. More than 80 languages are spoken, with over 30% of students speaking a first language other than English. A…
Neural Machine Translation provides very useful representation for the language in context. The sentences and words representation leaned from Neural Machine translation models can be efficiently used to boost the performance of many Natural Language…
Machine translation has become a crucial component for enabling global communication. Millions of people are using online translation systems and mobile applications to communicate across language barriers. Machine translation has made rapid advances in recent…
Spoken language translation is usually limited by the non-availability of the parallel data. We generate synthetic data for Neural Machine Translation of Spoken-Dialects. We introduce a novel approach to generate synthetic data for training Neural…
We are using Neural Machine Translation (NMT) to achieve state-of-the-art translation performance. We are working on large scale / real-time translation systems to support high quality translation for various languages. We used LSTM Sequence-to-Sequence models.…
