A prompt can look complete and still leave out the situational context the AI most needs to know: the situation the email is going into. In a diary study of 92 Microsoft professionals writing 295 real workplace emails with Copilot, we compare what participants knew, what they actually told the AI, and how they reacted when drafts fell short.
