Modeling and inversion of double-electrical-source time-domain ground-airborne electromagnetic data

Journal of Physics: Conference Series | , Vol 3288

In this paper, the modeling and inversion methods of double-electrical-source time-domain ground-airborne electromagnetic data are proposed. We utilize the FDTD to simulate the electromagnetic data and calculate the apparent resistivity by regarding the wire source as the accumulation of multiple electric dipoles. The proposed methods are verified by the homogeneous half-space model and layered model, and are applied to a low-resistivity abnormal model. From the results, we know that, compared with the unisource system, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the resolution of electromagnetic data can be markedly improved by using the double-source system. The double-electrical-source time-domain ground-airborne electromagnetic system is an effective solution for deep resource investigation.
