Sibos has long been one of my favorite events that I look forward to each year. A time to come together as a community to connect, reconnect, share, and learn from each other. As I think about industry trends and what\u2019s ahead, here are a few to keep an eye out for:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>4. Acceleration of cloud adoption.<\/strong> At Microsoft, we saw two years-worth of digital transformation in the first two months of the pandemic. Financial services institutions have a continued, heightened interest in speeding their move to the cloud to drive innovation, cost savings, and new customer experiences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>5. Cybersecurity and fraud detection.<\/strong> More scamming attempts have moved online since COVID-19, and advanced cybersecurity strategies are top of mind for everyone. Our <a href=\"https:\/\/cm-edgetun.pages.dev\/security\/blog\/2020\/08\/19\/microsoft-shows-pandemic-accelerating-transformation-cyber-security\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">latest research<\/a> shows how the pandemic is also accelerating the digital transformation of cybersecurity and that cloud-based technologies and architectures like Zero Trust are significant areas of investment moving forward.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>6. Sustainable finance.<\/strong> We\u2019ll also hear lots of discussions about sustainable finance at this year\u2019s event. And for good reason. In many ways, the pandemic has been an environmental wake-up call.
