As urban representatives from around the globe gather at the Smart City Expo World Congress<\/a> (SCEWC) in Barcelona from Nov. 17 to Nov. 19, they\u2019ll be looking for new and innovative smart city solutions. And as exhibitors and speakers at the event, we at Microsoft are excited to showcase a wide range of offerings that will help cities lead the urban transformation.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s SCEWC theme is \u201cInnovation to Inspire and Implement,\u201d and that\u2019s exactly what we will show\u2014innovation to inspire. Sharing our own expertise and those of our partners, we will showcase some of the latest technology and insights that will bring about safer, smarter, and more sustainable cities. Delegates will be able to see demos of innovative solutions from dozens of Microsoft CityNext partners, learn how Microsoft mobile solutions can be used to create more efficient, responsive government, and hear Microsoft\u2019s perspective on a wide range of smart city topics. Our showcase will include:<\/p>\n

Partner demonstrations.<\/strong> Forty-one Microsoft CityNext partners will demonstrate groundbreaking smart city solutions spanning a wide range of categories from energy and water, to public safety, to the Internet of Things. These solutions, from a select group of our CityNext partners, represent a staggering amount of innovation that should not be missed. Talk about innovation to inspire and implement!<\/p>\n

Windows Device Bar.<\/strong> Microsoft will host a Windows Device Bar that showcases a broad range of phones, tablets, and laptops from our partners and Lumia<\/a> and Surface Pro<\/a> from Microsoft, demonstrating how governments can leverage mobile devices to engage citizens in novel ways. In the new mobile, cloud-based, data-first world, governments have the opportunity to transform their operations using connected, mobile experiences, and we\u2019re excited to show participants how.<\/p>\n
