In fact, now through August, we are rolling out dozens of <a aria-label='Follow this link to read the Microsoft Tech Community blog post, :35+ new features in Teams to get excited about now through August.\"' href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/education-blog\/35-new-features-in-teams-to-get-excited-about-now-through-august\/ba-p\/2318238\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\"><strong>new Microsoft Teams updates and features<\/strong><\/a> that will give you more tools to engage your classrooms, connect with students, and inspire their success\u2014in any learning environment.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s dive in!<\/p>\n<h2>Spot engagement trends while on-the-go with Education Insights on mobile<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019re on the move and soon, Education Insights will be too! Starting in July, you will be able to view engagement Spotlight cards in Insights on your phone. Just open class Insights in the Teams app to see key stories pulled from engagement data. From there, you can identify trends and take action, for example, messaging an inactive student to ask if they need additional help.<\/p>\n<h2>Bring lessons to life with new Whiteboard features\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Whether brainstorming on the fly or creating a rich and interactive lesson, <strong>Whiteboard<\/strong>\u2014built directly into Teams\u2014will offer more ways to add fun and engaging content to class materials. Coming in late August, educators and students can use annotation features to add digital ink, highlighters, stickers, sticky notes, and text boxes for special emphasis. For a more guided experience, you can lock your students\u2019 view so that they only see what you see.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dib\" src=\"https:\/\/cm-edgetun.pages.dev\/en-us\/education\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Whiteboard_Open_Existing_from_Share_Tray.gif\"\/><\/p>\n<h2>Easily sync grades to your Student Information System<\/h2>\n<p>There are only so many hours in a day\u2014so why spend any copying and pasting grades? With Grade Sync, you can save time by automatically sending grades you enter to your Student Information System (SIS) gradebook. Syncing is currently supported for verified providers, including Aequitas, eSchoolData, Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, and Skyward with additional syncing support coming soon for Aeries, Synergy, and SIMS.<\/p>\n<h2>Save time and stay organized with simplified navigation<\/h2>\n<p>We heard from many of you that you would prefer to access <strong>Assignments<\/strong>, <strong>Grades<\/strong>, <strong>OneNote Class Notebook<\/strong>, and <strong>Insights\u00a0<\/strong>from any channel within a class team\u2014 and that is exactly what the updated navigation will allow you to do! In August, changes to the new class team layout will be available for all educators and students using Teams\u2019 grid view.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dib\" src=\"https:\/\/cm-edgetun.pages.dev\/en-us\/education\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/New_navigation_in_your_class_team.png\"\/><\/p>\n<h2>Inspire collaboration with Group Assignments<\/h2>\n<p>Soon, students will be able to better to create, collaborate on, and submit team assignments with the new <strong>Group Assignments<\/strong> feature.
