Microsoft MPI (MS-MPI) v8 is the successor to MS-MPI v7.1 (v7.1.12437, released on 6/22/2016).
MS-MPI enables you to develop and run MPI applications without having to set up an HPC Pack cluster.
This release includes the installer for the software development kit (SDK) as a separate file. In addition, the SDK is also available through our nuget store here
The installers for MS-MPI may be redistributed with your own applications, facilitating stand-alone installations on workstation computers as well as HPC Pack clusters.Supported Operating Systems

Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008- To install on a workstation computer:
- Run MSMpiSetup.exe or msmpisdk.msi..
- Follow the steps in the installation wizard.
- The MS-MPI SDK is also available through our nuget store here
For redistribution:- You must include the entire installation package in your installation media.
- Your setup program can run the installation package to install MS-MPI, but you may not redistribute any of the individual files separately in your own installer.
