QFE3 contains an update to a driver which manages an internal PLX Chip within the Controller (Current version is BA) in StorSimple. The change in the driver is due to the fact that there will be a new version of the PLX chip (new version is CA) that will ship in the appliances from the factory from March onwards. This hotfix should be applied in a scenario where an appliance with a controller with BA chip needs a controller replacement, and gets a new controller with the CA chip as a replacement from MSFT
