    This add-on for Visual Studio 2013 contains the multibyte character set (MBCS) version of the Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) Library. You can use this version of MFC to build applications for markets that require MBCS support.
  • Supported Operating Systems

    Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2

    Hardware Requirements:
    • 1.6 GHz or faster processor
    • 1 GB of RAM (1.5 GB if running on a virtual machine)
    • 10 GB of available hard disk space
    • 5400 RPM hard drive
    • DirectX 9-capable video card running at 1024 x 768 or higher display resolution

    Additional Requirements:
    • For Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2, KB2883200 (available through Windows Update) is required.
  • To download all files and then install:
    • On this page, choose the Download button.
    • Select the .exe option and then choose the Next button.
      • To install now, choose the Run button.
      • To install later, choose the Save button. (The computer does not have to be connected to the Internet.)
