Scripts to Enable Microsoft Help Viewer for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and Microsoft SQL Server 2014

Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and Microsoft SQL Server 2014 supports systems running with only IPv6 enabled. The scripts in this download are used to enable Microsoft Help Viewer to work with only IPv6 enabled and to remove those settings if it is no longer necessary to run with only IPv6 enabled.

    The CreateHelpViewerIPv6Settings.ps1 PowerShell cmdlet creates the following registry entry and sets the ACL for the newly created registry entry.

  • 1. Click the Download button on this page to start the download.
    2. Click Save to save the download to your computer for installation.
    3. Double click the self-extracting EXE to unpack the contents.
    4. Specify a location of your choice to extract the contents to.
    5. Double click the CreateHelpViewerIPv6Settings.ps1 PowerShell cmdlet to create the settings to enable Help Viewer for IPv6.
    NOTE: It may be necessary to run this script with Administrator privileges.
    6. To remove the settings created by the CreateHelpViewerIPv6Settings.ps1 PowerShell cmdlet, run the RemoveHelpViewerIPv6Settings.ps1.
