Microsoft HPC Pack 2019 Preview

HPC Pack 2019 delivers tools, performance and scalability for a highly productive HPC environment for on-premises, hybrid and cloud, providing an integrated cluster environment featuring the HPC Job Scheduler, Message Passing Interface v2 (MPI2) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) interactive application support, cluster management & monitoring tools.

You can download and install HPC Pack 2019 Preview in your on-premises computers, or you can just use the deployment templates to create a cluster on Azure with HPC Pack 2019 Preview.

HPC Pack 2019 Preview supported Operating Systems

• Head nodes: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2 (without install SQL Express 2019)
• Compute nodes: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, or x64-based versions of Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
• Broker nodes: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012
• Workstation nodes: x86 or x64 versions of Windows 8.1 Pro or Enterprise, windows 10
• Unmanaged server nodes: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, or x64-based versions of Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
• Linux Compute nodes: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1, CentOS-based 6.7/7.3, Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS and 16.04 LTS
• Client: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 SP1


Additional notes:
CPU: x64 architecture computer, except for Workstation nodes which may run x86-based or x64-based processors
RAM: 4GB
Minimum disk space for setup: 50 GB
Network interface card: At least one network interface card (NIC) is required. Additional NICs may be required depending on the selected network topology
